Restaurant Mate respects your privacy. We use your device’s location only to find nearby restaurants. We don’t sell your data.

Information we process

• Approximate device location (latitude/longitude) when you grant permission or enter coordinates manually.
• Usage data such as button clicks may be processed locally in your browser to show results; no account is required.

How we use information

• To fetch nearby places from OpenStreetMap’s Overpass API.
• To sort and display matches based on your preferences.

Sharing

We don’t sell personal information. Map links you click (e.g., Google Maps) are subject to those providers’ policies.

Data retention

Location values are held in memory during your session and not stored by us. You can refresh or close the page to clear them.

Your choices

• You can deny geolocation permissions and enter coordinates manually.
• You can clear your browser data to remove local cached content.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we do, we’ll update the effective date above.
